Jake Taylor

Jake Taylor is a skilled financial services specialist focused on holistic advice with a successful track record since his beginnings in the industry in 2011.

Jake has achieved a Master of Financial Planning, Bachelor of Commerce and an SMSF Specialisation. He is currently completing the CFA® CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement) qualification to further enhance his passion for providing active investment management advice.

Jake has always wanted to establish a Financial Planning practice that he is proud of, with quality and detailed advice at the heart of its operations. Having this as his focus ensures he can maximise his clients value as he truly believes in an agnostic approach to product selection and to have the clients at the heart of everything he does.

As a Director of Sterling Grange Financial Planning, he aims to understand every client’s unique financial position and objectives so he can develop strategies that perfectly match the client to their goals.

Before entering the financial planning profession, Jake has managed restaurants and also been a personal trainer. When he started university life, he was completing a double degree in Computer Programming and Business Management. It wasn’t long before a few Financial Planning subjects become his passion and he hasn’t looked back.

From here Jake has worked at several companies, from small boutique practices to a large international organisation with varying departments. This has allowed Jake to develop a very strong technical knowledge base which can now be implemented at Sterling Grange combined with his high ethical framework.

When he is not working, he enjoys a coffee or wine at one of the many cafes or wine bars down Chapel Street in South Yarra, running laps of the Tan, keeping fit at the gym and trying to have a laugh.

Jake’s professional journey has seen him placed on several innovation and compliance committees as he is committed to the growth and integrity of the Financial Planning profession. Having his good mate Carl by his side at Sterling Grange will ensure the company is successful so he can continue to be part of his client’s ongoing financial success.
